Had a great experience here. I've meant to try this restaurant for a long while and I'm glad I finally did as it is really delicious Oaxacan food. My mezcal margarita was perfect and so were the Madre's enchiladas. My friend had the Oaxacan Desayuno and agreed that his dish was delicious. Very friendly service too. Don't sleep on this one!

Came here for lunch with a friend who seemed to forget that I'm the pickiest eater and had just had a tooth pulled, also making my choices for food fewer. Well, the server/bartender was brilliant and I had some rice and beans with extra cheese and a side of grilled shrimp. We loved our lunch. We also had a couple of their specialty drinks which were delicious. All around, it was a really great experience and we will definitely be going back! I wish I had remembered to take some darn pictures. The ambiance inside is nice and there is also outside seating.

I had a great experience hosting 9 people for a birthday dinner at Madre tonight. The whole staff was super kind and attentive the whole time. Michael went above and beyond while taking care of our large party. His patience and passion for the food made our experience extra special. The food was also exquisite. The flavors were rich and authentic instead of watered down or catered to more Americanized palates. I would love to come back for a date night and try some of their mixed drinks next time. Major thanks to Michael & the Madre crew

Was looking for a lunch spot near the hotel and found this place browsing Google maps. I've never had Oaxacan food specifically so was very excited to come here. Came here for lunch on a holiday weekday and i was surprised that it was quite empty. We ordered the squash blossoms (which I've never had before) and it was absolutely delicious. The crisp outer batter was perfectly fried and paired well with the spicy salsa. We also ordered the chicken mole and taste of Oaxaca plate and it was so much food. Everything was well seasoned and the homemade tortillas were really good too. The interior was bright and clean with lots of seating options. It definitely gave off an industrial chic vibe. Service was attentive and food came out quickly.

Absolutely delicious. Every plate we had was fantastic and well portioned. We got the Carne Asada plate, Pecado de Moles plate, chips and salsa, squash blossoms, and churros. Split among 3 people, we had plenty to take home. The restaurant is really nice and well designed, and there's easy parking (I believe a garage). Going back for seconds soon!

Excellent food. Small restaurant, friendly staff. Love the decor. Food menu is small. They have 4 different moles. I ordered the Madre enchiladas which gives you 1 of each mole. Definitely suggest. Huge mezcal selection. We tried the Cafe de Olla by P'alma mezcal, OMG!!!! It was sooooooo good. Tasted just like cafe de olla. Unfortunately they didn't have a bottle available for purchase but I will get one.
